How to submit a bug report
Software isn’t perfect and that’s okay! Ecosia can sometimes run into bugs or unexpected issues. This is normal and part of how technology evolves.
Our team is always working to make improvements, but your feedback plays a crucial role. If you've spotted something that doesn't seem right, thank you for taking the time to let us know.

Before reporting a bug
Try the following steps before reaching out to us:
- Make sure your browser or extension is up to date and perform an update if necessary
- Follow our troubleshooting guide and clear your browser cache and cookies
- If you run into issues with sites not displaying correctly on the Ecosia desktop browser, try to disable the privacy panel.
- Check if any third party extensions, VPNs are in place which might be causing the issue
- Check if the issue persists in an incognito window.
- Check if the issue is with Ecosia and not related to a certain website.
If the issue persists, it’s time to report it.

What happens after your bug report?
- You’ll receive an email confirmation, which will include general troubleshooting steps again.
- Confirmed bugs will be added to our backlog, prioritized and addressed in future updates.
